I just purchased a new computer that had the Vista 64 bit operating system on it and wanted a router that was going to install with out any issues. I decided on a D-Link router after researching on the Vista website for it's compatiablity and narrowed it down to this one. I have to say it installed pretty easy and fast. I initially followed the installtion CD that came with the router but had problems with the cd finding the router after I plugged it in. Follow the pamphlet instead. I bought this as a "switch" to use the optical out from both my cable box and PC sound card on the single optical input of my sound receiver. Unfortunately there's a problem with this - my cable box (Comcast) does not turn off it's optical port even when the box itself turned off. As a result I do not get sound from my PC with the cable box still plugged in to the splitter. One reviewer says that his optical cable just falls out of the switch. Thats because he didnt lock the cable in. It takes a little bit of effort to just push the optical cable in all the way then its locked in. Some reviewers say it doesnt work.
